In the Salem village sometimes in the 1600s..
There rose sinister waves..
It took the lives of 25 innocent men and women..
Though very strangely the chain of incidents began..
The fright of witchcraft had been brewing all over England..
And now it had travelled to the colonial American land..
The village was seeing a lot of hardships already.
They wanted to dump the responsibility on some one, may be.
A group of young girls started falling ill..
The local doctor deemed it as the work of devil..
The girls began to take several names..
On several men and women they put the blame..
People fear what they don’t understand.
And see them as threat and try to destroy them..
Mass histeria spread like wild fire..
The situation in Salem turned dire..
People were accused and Arrests were made..
They were innocent, each time they said..
They were captioned as witches anyway..
And from the hands of this unlawful law, they could not get away.
Those innocent lives were hanged at the gallows hill..
They were taken away from this world against their will..
Their agony still lingers in Salem..
It only proves no evil is more vicious than men.
